I’m a little late with my blog this week, and the internet is SLOW! I am a stranger, in a strange land—that’s my excuse.
Jan and I are in an RV park in Victoria, BC (Canada). The Fort Victoria RV Park to be specific. I’m calling it a “hidden gem”, although it is well know in Victoria, and one of the largest RV parks we’ve stayed in anywhere. The people are friendly (as in most RV parks), the views are spectacular, and the best part (in this park) is easy access to a huge system of walking trails.
This system of walking trails (technically biking/walking trails) is one of the longest, most integrated anywhere that I’ve seen. And as far as I know, it’s been here for years!
Jan and I met in Victoria, so it’s an easy “natural” when it comes to a place to visit or vacation. We both have friends (and family) here. Jan’s old friend Sue and her husband Mike are here. A lovely couple. My old school chum, Blake, and his wife Marla live here (an have for years!). My sister, Sue, is in Duncan–a pleasant hour’s drive from Victoria.
What a great place to vacation!
And of course, some of the most beautiful scenery and some of the loviest neighborhoods anywhere!
The clip is from our trip up the Malahat to Duncan yesterday.
This is a short post. Blake and I will go walking on the E & N Railway Trail this morning. What a life!
And to think that only a week ago (a tad more actually), Jan and I were in Federal Way.
